i believe that it is great to able to have a facebook account. i think that it is up to each person to know what they can do. being able to have a personal account and a separate professional one is great, that way you can keep up with both and not have everyone seeing your work and personal life at the same time. i think the professional one would be alot of help in certain situations. as far as the privacy you are the one that imputs what you want people to know and see. i know that our library cat has his own facebook page and i think that is great. but i also think that each library needs to find out just what these social networking are about and how it could be benefit them.
